Well, this was a fine way to cleanse my palette for tomorrow.

Impressions:

This is another one of those short 12 minute OVAs that just popped up out of relatively nowhere that I only ended up watching because it was only 12 minutes. It’s a good thing too, because I’m not sure how much more of this I could take. You see, Kamiya hates glasses, so argues with Asou about them… but it turns out that he needs glasses too! The laughs are a mile a minute here, let me tell you. I do believe that every episode is a new story about a new pair and glasses related ‘adventures’ though. I have no idea who thought that this was a good idea, but there is one bright spot. They didn’t think that it was a good enough idea to actually put any money or effort into.

The production for this show is abysmal, particularly for an OVA. They didn’t even animate the two climbing down off the table, just had a series of fades from one motion to the next. There are enough stills used in just 12 minutes to make moonshine for the entire state of Kentucky. The music didn’t fare too much better, and even the OP and ED are obviously cheap as crap. That means that it’s resting its success on… well… it can’t be the characters, humor, or development so I can only assume that it comes packaged with a pain of used schoolgirl glasses for lonely men to sniff.
