Hellllooooooo boobs.

If you didn’t know, Shina Dark is SHAFT/Shinbo’s new show starting in the summer (probably… for all I know, it’s an OVA). It’s the touching story of malevolent overlord Exoda brought back to life after a thousand years. To attempt to appease him, countries of the world send him beautiful girls… but Exoda is more lazy than evil and doesn’t want to conquer the world, let alone have any desire for 1,000 nubile young ladies. He tries to send them all home, but now that they’ve been ‘tainted’ by being around him, nobody will take them back. He establishes a country just for them, Shina Dark.

So… yeah… such a wacky off-kilter premise really is almost perfect for SHAFT and Shinbo. The DVD special was only 8 minutes long, and most of it was OP and ED material. I think. This is SHAFT, I rarely have any clue what they’re doing. It looks like two OPs and two EDs, but damned if I know. It does look a lot more cohesive than PPD/Zetsubou or the like, but it also looks massively more fanservicey too. Then again… SHAFT… lest we forget that Tsukiyomi’s OP was about as far from the content as you can get. I’ve gone ahead and extracted all four of the maybe OPs and EDs.

And yes, there is a NSFW nipple warning on the first maybe-OP. I can already envision the fog that will permeate this show.

Belated Edit: Awwww… Youtube nuked the nipples. The DVD version of the first maybe-OP doesn’t have steam in the bathscene, the watermark in the corner, or the song credits at the end. Otherwise, it’s the same.
