Because if I die tomorrow, I feel that there should be some record of this terror.

I feel like saying something about this game since nobody else in the English world has mentioned it as of yet (I think). Part of Circus’ ten year celebration that involves spitting out eighteen different versions of Da Capo is the rather unfortunately titled Arupigi Gaku-¥ (or RPG Gakuen if you ignore the horrible puns). Its claim to fame, aside from an engine that appears to be based around the time honored AD&D tradtion of choking your enemy with dice, is that Circus dragged in guest artists from all over the place to draw specialized monsters that you can catch and then teach to love you. They are also completely unique characters that people spent a lot of time and effort into thinking up. Okay, some are uniquer than others. These are, of course, called Moemon. I believe that you’re supposed to catch them all.

Now they’ve released a flash game where the goal is to shoot exploding dice at a cosplaying nurse to undress her. 
And this is one of Japan’s most notable VN companies.

I’m torn between sending a very sternly worded letter to the housewives of Japan, chastising them for allowing this to happen, and just building a thermite lab in my shower and seeing where the mood takes me. I am a fan of Circus’ attempts in recent years to branch out into more gameplay oriented titles with Valkyrie Complex and Eternal Fantasy. It’d be even better if they could make one that wasn’t terrible. Gaku-¥ doesn’t look like it’ll buck that trend, but it’s out in a week and a half, so… perhaps this one will just be bad enough to be entertaining, or maybe Cthulu already has its fangs deep into Japan and is manifesting as Circus’ soulless monstrosities.
