Impressions:

I think Zamhazon.com would be the horrible horrible offspring of Amazon and Zombo. I’d also like to point out that I found it hilarious when Fuyuki was doing his own ‘dozo’ routine that Fujioka walked up from offscreen. It was just a poorly framed shot in regards to him, but it really looked like he just inserted himself into the group for free stuff.

This episode, people clean up the park and Kana invokes Haruka’s wrath by being a slacker. Hosaka also appears here and there to remind people of his prowess. Haruka threatens Kana and Chiaki with withholding their dinners if they don’t work hard while also praising Fuyuki’s work, so there’s a short war council while they decide how to outdo Fuyuki. After some hijinks, they find the big prize… an abandoned fridge, and then we have adventures as they try to figure out how to get it back to the trash collection point. It ends up being filled iwth rocks, so they start throwing them into the river. Haruka walks in on them ‘having fun’ with the rocks.

Things felt a little weird with Haruka angry at Kana and Chiaki nearly every single scene that she appeared. She even beat on Kana a bit, which felt very strange. They also teased us with Hosaka a few times, but he didn’t really say or do anything particularly noteworthy, unless you count can crushing as the pinnacle of manliness. I still really don’t like Fuyuki at all. He just doesn’t fit in with the show at all. He’s boring, has no personality, and is the kind of spineless wimp that you’d expect to find headlining Futakoi. Not Alternative. I won’t hear anything bad about Rentarou. Anybody who can take on a 200 foot tall squid with naught but a metal bat deserves all the women he can get.

And now I’m talking about squids. It was just one of those episodes… fairly forgettable, but a few chuckles here and there. Zamhazon.com and random-Fujioka were probably the high points for me, and those weren’t even actually jokes.
