Pseudo-Impressions:

At this point, I’m looking for whatever show is the most fun to write about for this season’s Friday through Tuesday wasteland, and let me tell you, it’s a lot more amusing to make fun of abjectly terrible shows than it is to point out how average an average show is. That said, this episode was a lot better than last week’s, and if not for the godawful porno maid, I think I might actually stick with this one. Again, certainly not really endorsing it, but my schedule is pretty much controlled by what days shows air, and this season is lousy for scheduling purposes.

Like I said though, this episode was mostly a lot better than the first, although you couldn’t pay me enough money to honestly call it anything better than maybe average. I feel kind of strange wishing that this show could be as ‘good’ as KimiAru was. Okay, so KimiAru was actually a very fun little show, but the point still stands. This show would improve a lot if it played all its cliches for laughs instead of… this. Instead of an avalanche of 15 second character snapshots and Hino molesting every girl on campus, there was just the one girl sort of molesting him and a hell of a lot more jokes that actually teetered dangerously close at times to being at least marginally amusing. The fanservice was also toned down a lot, which helped immensely. Outside of the start and bath scene, a couple shots of wet maids was pretty much all the groan-worthy T&A this episode had. Selnia Drillbrains also did something besides screaming constantly, so that was also a welcome change from the first episode, even if the bad harem overtones were deafening.
