Wherein we sit in parking lots.

Impressions:

Boy, these Saturday shows are really making it rough. This episode was a wasteland of anything important or anything happening. Literally all they did for the first 19 minutes of the episode was sit in parking lots and exposit at each other. Oh, the convenience store rice balls are way better than the village ones? Definitely something to scream about. But after 19 minutes? They moved to a park. To continue sitting. And expositing. 

And they must have known how empty and pointless the entire episode was, because there's about a 60 second aside in the middle of it of a completely random, completely unknown, dude killing some wannabe serial killer, possibly on the opposite side of Japan. Possibly on the opposite side of the world even. No attempt is made whatsoever to tie this into the ongoing discussions of… *checks* what magic is, or that the present is different from the past. Nothing in this episode needed to exist at all.
