Why do we keep putting CGI in places where none is needed?

Impressions:

The fourth, and yet, not final, one of these this season. And this one got off to a stupendously poor start 30 seconds in when it decided to go full jank-ass CGI with the camera lurching around at an uneven framerate before launching into the obligatory sad sack internal self-introduction. It may be the worst of the five too. It certainly is for sheer amount of panicked flop sweat and how pathetic the main character is. God, he's intolerable. But they don't care. They don't like modern assertive boys. They want a traditional, meek Japanese boy who's earnest and bashful that they can rub themselves on.

I preferred it when the magical girlfriend fell through the roof and immediately declared them a slave. That was honest about being a complete fantasy. Also allowed for a much broader variety of harem for that matter. So I guess this probably puts it at the worst of these for the season, or more accurately, the worst of these so far (though I don't expect the last one to be worse than this), but it's not that far off from the Second Cutest Girl one yesterday, as it's fundamentally the exact same thing, just with not-Pokemon instead of B movies, no excessively detailed pizza, and way more godawful CGI.
