Impressions:

Another flashback episode, and another dead tragic pretty girl who only gets more beautiful and more self-sacrificing up to and through death. A little resentment and frustration would be understandable, you know. I became inured to Ali MacGraw's Disease at a very young age. Does anybody on the internet even remember Love Story these days? The 'twist' that she was dead all along isn't that well handled, with Nube in full on funeral garb with a giant bouquet. Yes, the children are idiots, but we don't need to be.

Okay, so this one has angry fish in her lungs instead of the only symptoms being becoming more ethereal and beautiful, but still, this is the second time we've played this tune this season, completely straight, without anything more than "pretty girl dies, tells Nube he's doing great." Even if it happened in the present, that'd be at least a little more impactful as it's the current Nube failing now, not having a fond memory of a sick kid dying.
