Sometimes I count stills to movement. It saddens me.

Impressions:

As far as shounen action goes, this is on the lower end. Maybe even south of average, but the average is quite miserable to start with. Unfortunately, it's largely lame in the most normal of ways. Stills instead of movement for action, godawful pacing that requires everybody to stand rock still and exposit at each for minutes on end about the horrible uncontrollable monster that's patiently waiting off screen for them to finish their conversation, a convoluted setting that isn't actually that convoluted but they still think the entire thing needs to be explained up front, blah blah blah. Most feed into the others. The pacing kills the action, and the random stills to show impact make plenty of room and necessitate ten thousand more paragraphs.

I can't even say that it's not as yelly as most, because it's quite yelly too. Not as many overreaction faces… outside from the opening introductory bit, but I'm really reaching here for anything that stands out. The monsters haunt social media accounts and… that's sort of it. As if social media wasn't evil enough as it is, and technocrats doing everything to make it more evil every day. Everything else is cheap, templated and completely by the template.
