All hail the bureaucracy.

Impressions:

Let me spare you this episode. Adventurers join clans. This dude is the head of a clan of his childhood friends who are all super strong, but he is not. It somehow takes this episode approximately 16 minutes to cover those two sentences because people keep having to yell "I can't believe you didn't know this obvious thing!" and then get into pissing matches over it. Actual pissing matches would've probably been more engaging too because at least there might've been some animation or at the very least effects.

But no, this is what fantasy anime has predominantly become in anime. A recitation of numbers and the appendix on the local bureaucracy. Can't just go out and adventure or do quests or even fight a dude in a bar. First we need to do the paperwork. Wait, not even that. Discuss the importance of paperwork existing, how it is everybody's dream and hope to do paperwork, and that some numbers are greater than other numbers which makes them better. Ha ha, you're only level 4. Well I'm level 5. Which means I can do level 3 quests while you struggle. Aren't you vexed by this. Content.
