Quasi-Impressions:

I'm not feeling any of the Wednesday shows. Bullbuster is all in on being office shenanigans with the second episode not involving the mechs or monsters in any way whatsoever, which is a hell of a speed to run away from your own premise. And 16bit Sensation is just… so much yelling and so little about the actual subject matter. I feel like I know at least a bit about classic VNs, but it also doesn't seem hugely interested in them as much as it does fellating being a fan of them. Tossing up some random factoid about dot matrix printers, dithering, or some other computer tech from the 90s every 5 minutes isn't enough to put up with the hyperactive shrill monologuing.

Which leaves this. I don't necessarily think that the premise is bad, but everything is so banal. Take a more Leverage approach or something. Be an actual antihero. Take her under your wing and teach her to be an anarchist, go outside the law and undermine the rich and powerful. Hell, go outside. Wait, we aren't really teaching her anything whatsoever. The entire first half of the episode is just spent reviewing the premise, both that she has no personality whatsoever and that he's supposedly evil, but with a cat girl standing in the background. Then he magically forces her to hit him so she can have a sparklies moment about how bad she feels. And then ends on the cliffhanger that there's a second catgirl sitting even further in the background. How deep exactly does this catgirl-in-background inception go? It's not a question that intrigues me enough to want to stick around to find out.
