More revelations ahead.

Impressions:
This airing took me by surprise. One of the stations said “we don’t care about no axe murdering!” and aired it anyway, albeit with Rena’s hatchet scene in the OP cut out. For what it’s worth, it’s a great move on their part to move from having no rating (something like the 5th time the episode airs by the time it gets to them) to being the first airing and getting the majority of the viewers.

Unfortunately, while MPlayer was capping it, I was fixing food to bring over to a friend’s house for a little Monday Night Football wings and burgers action. If you want a summary, Kurogane’s got one up. Otherwise, I’m probably going to skip this one since there’s no way I’m going to be able to get to it until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest. Apologies. It’s pretty much the same as the game anyway. Lots of talking to say “Everybody in Hinamizawa has the disease, Rika’s family is what keeps them sane (via pheremones) though those that leave soon go nuts (also why the town holds her in such respect), Takano’s plan to ‘explode’ Hinamizawa is to kill Rika and let nature take its course (with of course, the other conclusion to be drawn that in all the other worlds, people went nuts because Rika was dead and not suppressing the disease), and Takano has Oishi sniped and Irie cockblocked in his research.” I’m being melodramatic of course. This was probably the most important exposition of the entire run, finally fully defining the Hinamizawa Syndrome and why saving Rika’s life is the key to everything.
