The Saga of Tanya the Boring #04 — Theorycraft

January 27th, 2017

AKA Twenty minutes to get right back to where we we already were.

Impressions:

This episode was all the garbage, insulting both for how boring it was, and for how obvious the direction it was going in was. Neither of which stopped our imbecile of a protagonist from panning for the camera about the 'surprising' development. About 18 minutes, comprised of maybe four conversations, at least one of which was between her and the space goat in her head. The development? She's going to be leading a group of mages on the front lines. You know, the same goddamned thing she was doing before, with the same people she was doing it with. But this time, it's slightly different because… ?????????

OK so she is going back to the front lines? Good.

I stopped around minute 5-8 of this episode, it was abominably boring. I’m in fact skipping this and picking up next episode.

At this point most of this show’s just nothing but Tanya making weird faces.

It might work better without the Salaryman twist. An extremely militaristic little girl who rises through the ranks of the military at a young age (and doesn’t whine about going on the front line for several episodes), is a surprisingly original story, that they’ve left on the table.
