Impressions:

As if the 90 second "girls go to school" montage wasn't clue enough, this is about some girls. And they go to school. When it comes time to decide between writing jokes or covering the screen in the pastel fog of friendship, you can bet your ass it's the fog every single time. Because they're girls. And they go to school. Friendship. And they each have a hilariously wacky gimmick. Animals don't like one of them. Another one is sick. What a hilarious concept where a character is singularly defined by one wacky trait that I haven't seen since the last sixty seven hundred shows that tried to try to do this.

What sets this apart from the Zetsubou Senseis or Pani Poni Dashes of the world is that it mistakes the means for the end. It doesn't use these gimmicky characters to then tell some kind of even banal episodic story or as vehicles for jokes. They have their gimmicks. We'll repeat that. We'll explain that. Those gimmicks are wacky, right? We'll explain that some more. We'll repeat the gimmicks again. And here's some fanservice and random pictures of them dressed like slutty versions of whatever they were just talking about. And then, we spotaneously erupt in yet more pastels and friendship at the end, because what's stopping us from pretending like there was content here?
