Yes, dinner with Felli was probably the highlight of the episode.

Impressions:

A very dry, exposition heavy, and rather boring episode that really didn’t actually go anywhere. Thankfully, next week looks much better. The most interesting thing about this episode was Nina’s squad losing in their mock battle in the first 5 seconds. Unfortunately, they spent next to no time on it. They could have built it up a little more, or shown that even with Layfon’s overwhelming advantage, it doesn’t mean jack if your strategy/leadership blows, but instead, we just got Nina looking shocked and a little bit of angsting. I have to admit that it was a damn good shot to be able to hit a flapping flag dead on. Maybe Nina’s just terrible at defense.

I think the thing that annoyed me the most though was that they stretched out the letter from Leerin (which is apparently how her name is spelled… *sigh*) for the entire episode. Each member of Fon-fon’s harem got it in turn, then proceeded to drop or leave it in attempts to give it to him for the next one to conveniently pick up and wonder about. Then, at the end of the episode, we still have no clue what the bloody thing even said. It was nice to see that Felli’s smart enough to not physically abuse Fon-fon when it could result in some actual harm, so her violence remains on the more reasonable side, but that was her only blob moment this week sadly.

Well… at least the Engrish part was minimal.
