Maria the Virgin #11 — It’s Love… Or Respect… Or Confidence… Or Something…

Can you at least make up your mind?

Impressions:

Oh, padding. The lengths that they felt they needed to go to glorify Blando and villify Rapey were a little sad, although not quite as inexplicable as the witches all of a sudden deciding that maybe they don’t like war so much after all. You know, girls, the last time you opened your mouths it was to declare how great war is. Although I think the most unbelievable thing in the entire episode was Rapey’s girlfriend simply tossing him on her shoulder and walking off like it’s nothing. Didn’t even struggle. Wasn’t even holding him right. Medieval women apparently have the proportional strength of ants and medieval men/armor carry all their weight in their legs.

Anywho, Blando gets all angsty over losing his temper. The only decent thing about that awful scene was him getting smacked in the face. Then they spent a while screaming about their jobs and/or relationship, perhaps forgetting that when midnight comes, the fairy godmother’s enchantment will wear off and he’ll return to his true form, a sack of grain. Yada yada, power of love (or since they were hedging their bets, someone declares it to also be the power of self-respect) cures her yips/restores her virginity, so the first thing she does is destroy the city and unleashes a horde of monsters. That’ll teach them!

Destroying the city was a dick move by somebody that claims to hate violence. At least there is no more city to fight over. Shame about the civilians that lived in the city.

I wonder if this is the end of the 100 year war or if her actions will keep the war going since there was no clear winner.

The ones who were being raped and murdered during the sack, with their worldly goods stolen by the army, you mean?

Good thought on the 100 years war, though…

You forgot to mention how she suddenly got God-tier healing powers that instantly removed all wounds, why didn’t she use that to cure Grandma?
