The lessons in this show…
Impressions:
Clearly meant as a contrast to the first (two) episode(s), although the double-twist was still pretty drawn out and fairly nonsensical. I had expecting him to have been a dick by not noticing her, not “I got plastic surgery to change myself for him, and then proceeded to still never interact with him in any way, just pine for him from afar until he stumbled into my bowling alley to hit on me.” Also, where is the money for elective plastic surgery coming from exactly? Your job polishing balls? Maybe she had another job on the side. Polishing balls.
Still better than the double-triple rotating bits from the first one regardless (plus 20 bonus minutes of wankery afterward!) and one of the more effective bits of sentimentality I’ve seen from Japan in a while, but it was the unneeded appendix of this episode, thrown on in an effort to add an extra twist only to have a twist. Although that’s assuming that they don’t come back to it to re-discuss it some more next week like they did last time. It would be nice if they tightened up the game schtick a bit more though. It’s still extraordinarily gimmicky and just random CGI tossed in to pass the time between the amnesia fading before a final dramatic gasp and throw. Also, learn how to score bowling, you schmucks. Is using Google really that hard?
