Unlimited Blade Works #09 — Nap Time

Do something. Dooooooooooo something.
Impressions:
Blah blah blah blah blah. What did characters do this episode? They talked. And talked. And talked and talked and talked and talked and talked. And then talked some more. Oh wait, they foreshadowed Gil for about 10 seconds. It was all worth it. What’s most important is maintaining the unused antagonist count at three. Mission accomplished.
I guess the misshapen skeletons from last week ate up more of the budget than I thought. Any posturing over “This is really important” gets lost under “But not important to do anything but sit around and discuss it.” Not that it’s a unique problem to this show, but it’s always tiresome when things are so deadly super serious, but not so much so that they need to take time out of hanging out with friends and doing algebra homework. Fighting monsters and saving all your friends is one thing, but algebra is algebra. And no, this was not needed for characterization, world building, or whatever the current stupid buzz word nowadays is. Let’s define these putzes by their actions, because I’m getting really tired of “sit on ass and look determined while waiting for something to happen.” That’s what you say about someone with constipation. …It fits. Â

Zero had more action and by this point you already dropped it.
