Well, I guess it’s sort of an improvement.

Impressions:

As with Blondie v1, I continue to be surprised by this cliche-ridden show’s ability to bring characters back from the brink of obnoxiousness and redeem them a little bit. Both Blondie and Jess tried to put themselves up as sacrifices to protect other people without much of a second thought, and it turns out that Jess’s obsession with the super knight or whatever, goes to truly stalker levels as she immediately mounts him, strips off her panties, and attempts to go to town on him the moment she realizes it’s him. In the middle of a crowd. It’s not anywhere near enough, mind, but it’s a hell of a lot more than I was expecting from her character.

Unfortunately, that’s not even close enough to salvage the rest of the episode, which was otherwise dull. It took a third of the episode just to get to their exciting plan of having Ash walk in, and the last third was spent mostly on comic relief and undermining the first two thirds. Even the ‘action’ climax was basically just Ash hauling a magical ice-shotgun out of his ass while everyone else just stood around, gaping. Even what can only be loosely called Silvia’s character arc was undermined by immediately balling up to be carried out by the mighty penis-haver, blushing and squirming. And it was all a farce anyway, so…
