That kind of explains why they’re idiots.

Semi-Impressions:

I flipped through Riddle, WIXOSS. While the former made me giggle a little bit for making fun of virgins (unfortunately in the assassination sense), the fight there was laughably horrible, leaving it as all posing/grinning and absolutely no substance whatsoever. WIXOSS was kind of similar, but rode the TCG angle extra extra hard for its second episode, taking an extra long time to explain the rules of “little dolls hit each other plus heart of the cards.” Neither made me want to watch their actual episodes, let alone the rest of the series.

Still I’m not sold on this either. As feared/expected, it’s definitely leaning toward trying to be all emotional and nonsense with nonstop violins and pianos. There’s still some passable comedy in there, or at least a hell of a lot more passable than anything else I watched today thus far, but too little and choked under every segment having to go the route of blushing and feeeelings at some point. At least there are multiple segments that keep it from feeling too repetitive even while bland female lead goes through the same cycle in each segment. The two-faced bisexual sadist may be a good addition to get away from that and add a few more jokes though.
