Killa’ Kill #07 — FAMILY AND FRIENDSHIP POWER
November 14th, 2013
Gag me with a spoon.
Impressions:
So much for my forlorn hope that the preview for this week was a lie and it wasn’t going to be all about Mako and family. Or rather, it’s about how money ruined everything that was ‘good’ about her family, a statement that I have a hard time swallowing considering that I’d rather see them all thrown into a boiling pit of acid and then have the acid thrown into the sun. And maybe then the sun thrown into another sun just to be sure. They could have at least addressed in some way… any way… her getting her ass kicked last week, but no. Hell, part of the episode was even her challenging all-comers, confident that she’d kick all their asses, strange behavior for someone who was supposedly just humbled at the conclusion of last week.
They couldn’t even make an interesting fight out of the utterly generic thing either, as there was too much FRIENDSHIP and belief in FRIENDSHIP for that. Maybe they could have won me over if someone (anyone really) had beaten the hell out of Mako… again… but no. The whole point was how great she was and her learning that money can’t buy true happiness. And in case that wasn’t obvious already, Satsuki went ahead and explained for the stupidest members of the audience. Now let’s pretend this didn’t exist and move on.
Next Episode:
Cars.

Completely skip-able episode. Only thing that happened was that the rest of the non boss characters in OP was beaten.
