Not Really Hellsing #10 or Hopeless Masquerade

December 30th, 2012

May as well post something.

Far be it from me to complain about quality, but all I’m not even sure I want to sit through 70 minutes of it in the first place, and when the only copy I can find right now is hosted on one of those horrible especially low quality Chinese sites that split videos into 6 minute chunks as the worst idea for conserving bandwidth ever, yeah. At least it’s not RMVB. I ripped out the one actual fight (spread out across 3 video chunks) and featuring an explosion that makes gold ingots silently rain down for just over a minute. At least it was nice enough otherwise, although still not even close to the fights in the initial episodes.

Also, I heavily dislike Tasofro’s new fighter. Precision and responsiveness are good things. Drifty and Floaty is anything but that. And no, I’m not going to watch any of the already plurality of Jump specials out this week. *shudder*

2 Shouts From the Peanut Gallery

Still…that Hellsing animation looks better than 96% of the horse shit that comes out every season. The poorly animated, just barely above Flash twaddle that’s green lit month after month, is like chewing on tinfoil compared to most of the new Hellsing. Sure, the 3D is crap, but the 3D work in anime is nearly always ham-fisted flat renders with some stock bump map.

Someday I’d like to own all the Hellsing on DVD.

Buy the Dvd. Image it on your hard drive. Connect an hdmi cable from PC to home theater system. Seal Hellsing dvd and store in dry cabinet. Preserve for eternity. Sit on ergonomic chair and watch anime. Nice.

Better save money also for games coming out this January.
