K #04 — Cat Vs Trash Can

October 25th, 2012

I didn’t think she won, but she was riding it later.

Impressions:

Despite not having any real action, this wasn’t too bad an episode, or maybe I’m just getting used to how ridiculous everything about Black is and they didn’t really distract too much from the silliness with any of the obnoxious infodumps or nonsensical attempts at seriousness barring the one bit towards the end which was handled fine. Not the most elucidating or interesting thing since I doubt anybody really would believe that White had absolutely nothing to do with the murder, but it at least showed that he is playing dumb or repressing what happened and isn’t a total idiot. In any case, the show’s a lot more amusing when it’s not taking itself particularly seriously, especially now that the budget has apparently mostly dried up.

Back to Black though… He’s essentially become White’s maid at this point, cooking for him, cleaning for him, and dressing his cat. Of course, the fact that they fought and essentially lost to a trash can at the start of the episode probably also influenced things. I’m also not sure of the city’s policy on simply shredding underwear found in the round and then letting it blow away. That seems unhygenic and not what a trash can should be programmed to do.

Preview:

Back to infodumping and dynamic skateboarding.
