Yuruyuri #22 — Too Many Wives
September 3rd, 2012
I’m pretty sure that’s not legally binding in Japan.
Impressions:
Surprisingly dull considering it was mostly Sakurako/Himawari. They’ve usually been doing a good job of carrying the show this season in their bits, but this time around, they were just being incredibly dull. I guess it was supposed to be one of those supposedly ‘touching’ bits, particularly towards the end of it, but the only touching I want to see in this show in a secluded corner of a park should normally get people reported to the police. Part finale with them did not begin well either, with Himawari listening to Sakurako’s sister talk on the phone. Yes. Watching someone listen to someone else talk on the phone. It didn’t improve much from there. Flashback. Everybody wants to be the wife. They used to be less in denial about wanting each other’s junk. Etc. Children are innocent! Hilarious! But now they argue! Even more hilarious! Oi. I’ll never understand why Japan think machinated children’s misunderstandings are funny.
It was also more than a little disappointing that Chinatsu didn’t attempt to practice kissing on Red again in the midst of their other practice, particularly after one began sniffing the other. You can’t just jump to the dead eyes from a couple thumbs to the back. I expect no less than a full tonsil exploratory operation if you’re going to jump that far. At least use a scented candle for an unintended purpose.
Preview:
Extra haze.

Apperantly, the people of Dogakobo REALLY want us to forget that kiss, despite being easily the best moment of the whole damn series.
Yeah, these people don’t like continuity.
