Humanity Has Declined #03 — Mansex

I ‘love’ it when Japanese media gets self-referential.
This week in Arcana Famiglia, the bunch of super powered people with a tournament coming up deciding at least one’s fate played babysitters and had numerous flashbacks to their own childhoods. Again, wow, did that splatter against the pavement quickly. I guess that brings it down to this, TE, and Nobuna vying for Sundays.
Impressions:
Wasn’t really feeling this episode either. It was just honestly far too plain. I’ve seen the whole rant about manga (or more often doujinshi) so so many times before and this didn’t bring anything particularly new to the table besides dancing around specific terms. There was an excessive amount of eyewinking and elbow nudging going on. "See? Check it out. It’s a Yaoi BL Convention, only we’re not going to call it that. We’ll just describe each part of it." There’s not even a joke in there. At least Comic Party knew how to deliver an insane speech. That the fairies and the general weirdness was pretty much completely absent didn’t really help either.
And I’m kind of out of things to say. Like I said, I’ve seen this episode many many times before, but usually without quite as much explanation as to what manga is and/or conventions are and usually with more magical catgirl cosplaying. Also, it took them the entire 23 minutes or so to get back to the hook at the start, thus guaranteeing that it’ll be continuing onward to next week getting even more self-referential into Japanese media. Oh boy.

…at least the main character looks cute in that snow coat of hers.
