Bodacious 10 #03 — Brave Space Pirates

January 21st, 2012

I think that would improve both.

Non-Impressions:

I literally fell back asleep trying to watch space pirates, particularly after last week’s cliffhanger just kind of… stopped and it was back to the maid cafe. Brave 10 meanwhile, had both a step up in the fight animation this week and a step down in practically everything else. They ‘animated’ a bridge swaying by making the foreground jitter. The climax to the fight was also the usual "we’ll both glow, shout our attack names, and then blood will appear on the designated loser." Neither show has a character or story I have a single positive feeling towards after three episodes though, so I think it’s time to just cut my losses. Maybe I’ll use Saturdays to ramble aimlessly about various games. Hell, the prologue to Dancing Crazies is at least as inane as the average Guilty Crown episode. That could certainly also be entertaining. At least from my perspective.

And yes, translation continues. A public patch will either be out by the end of February or I’ll go insane. Bitterness and fatigue set in quite awhile ago for a number of reasons and have slowed things down lately, but I’m in the homestretch now so… We’ll see how that works out. I’m also going to do one of my favorite little doujin games after that which, for reasons beyond any logic, has just over 6,000 lines. That’s about 5,000 more lines than I was expecting and I think about 5,500 more than you see in an average playthrough. Even when I look for short, easy projects, they spiral out of control. Oi.

I think something went wrong while you were uploading screencaps…

  • someone says:

Sooo, this was a crossover episode?

  • ShuffleAir says:

I personally thing you should blog Lagrange rather than either of these, but eh two mecha shows in one day may be too much.

Then again you do have like four or five shows on Saturday.

    • Aroduc says:

…What? Lagrange is Sunday. Very early morning Sunday, but still very firmly Sunday everywhere west of like… Russia. I haven’t made up my mind on it yet either. If episode 3’s decent, I’ll probably stick with it. We’ll see though.

      • ShuffleAir says:

Oh, sorry. I meant blog two mecha shows on Sunday instead of any shows on Saturday. These aren’t even as hilarious bad as Maken-Ki from last season.

  • Anonymous says:

have you ever considered blogging older anime?

  • OVO says:

That our clown, when I come to see the images of the episode they encounter fresh

10 brave this great anime, could give a better attention, please!

  • Chen says:

Managed to finish watching Make Space As Boring As Possible somehow, and holy false advertising cow. Screw this. This is just a poor man’s Tenchi Muyo. I miss the nineties…

  • Nan says:

Hahaha, mixing these two has a good synergy.

Those characters look similar, for a second it looked like fight scene -> flashback to cooking -> fight scene. I bet nobody would notice if they actually did that.

  • MR.KLAC says:

whoa were you 2 different anime on same post?

    are you serious bro?!

ok then or this was crossover shows?

  • cutemi2 says:

and please don’t mix this with Brave 10

  • Whatever says:

If you don’t like these shows, don’t bother blogging about them. Not blogging at all would be better than this nonsense…

    • Nan says:

If you don’t like this nonsense, don’t bother reading it. Not commenting at all would be better than that nonsense…

    • TOP2NE1 says:

“If you don’t like it, don’t watch it” is one of the dumbest responses to criticism ever.

Have you heard of the Nostalgia Critic, AVGN, etc?

  • Jack says:

You could be watching sparkly fox guys. It’s not too late.

  • Veneficae says:

    “And yes, translation continues.”

So wait you’re translating a game? Where did that come from? Last time I checked you said you’re probably too busy to do anymore translations.

  • murazaki says:

    thanks you

  • H2O says:

Any interests in any of the feburary titles Aroduc?

    • Aroduc says:

I still haven’t gotten around to Corona, although at least 80% of that is because of how poor to mediocre I’ve heard it is and how much it’s apparently directed towards Yumina fans. I didn’t survive the grind long enough there to… well… care.

  • Benigmatica says:

    This post confuses me…
