Aha! It all makes sense now.

Impressions:

I don’t know what’s more impressive, that they’re Sana is still menstruating all over the show or that it’s apparently going to continue all the way to the end. They should just relabel that the Swingset of Angst. Yeah, it’s not the Swingseat of Bisexual Discovery like I’d prefer, but at least then it would be named accurately. I can barely remember when Airi was the one afflicted with permanent PMS. Actually, I can’t even remember the last time that Airi  had a conversation with the clueless twit at all. Ange either for that matter. Wasn’t she living with him at some point? And sleeping with him? And bathing him? What ever happened to that?

Again, in comparison to past events, Miu holding his hand and then showing her skirt sitting on his dresser’s not really saying much. When your baseline for heterosexual platonic friendship is taking baths together, coyly dancing around Christmas eve sex doesn’t work that well. Actually… come to think of it… every girl dominated the screen until they saw him naked, at which point they completely dropped out of the show. Sakuno dominated the first half of the first episode until wandering into the bath with him. Airi dominated the show until she took a bath with him. Ange took over a few episodes until she followed him into the bath. Coincidence? I think not. All that Airi angsting wasn’t insecurity, but complete and utter disappointment in what she wouldn’t be getting if she had continued pursuing him. She’s not sympathizing with Sana, she’s trying to think of a tactful way to tell her that the cat-creature is probably more capable of satisfying her.
