Countless Cat Gods #03 — Two and a Half Minutes

July 22nd, 2011

That’s how long they decided to throw up stills of manga pages.

Impressions:

I’ll just pretend those two and a half minutes did not exist. What happened, AIC+? Where’d all that energy from GA go? Do we really need to sit and stare at drawings of static pieces of paper for over ten percent of the entire episode? And for a self-referential episode about manga deadline crap on top of that? Sigh. I guess I haven’t seen the "we need to finish this special edition by tomorrow!" cliche in a couple months though. It certainly hasn’t gotten any more amusing than when Comic Party built an entire show around it.

At least the very end was a bit better. The battle against the helper gnomes was probably the best that the show’s actually been, which isn’t really saying all that much, but little gnomes torturing the goddesses through mock warfare is a lot better than a whole lot of nothing. Yoshino’s breasts are also a little oddly resilient given that she’s completely tied up. Then they had to get all pithy and be friends instead of slave and master and have a group hug while my eyes rolled back far enough in my head to see the aneurysm building in my front lobe.
