Kyouran Kazoku Nikki #17 — Over… Next!

August 3rd, 2008

This was awful.

Sorry about the lateness on this and ZKC. The raw situation last night was terrible and when it finally appeared, I was kind of exhausted.

Impressions:

Ugh. At least this arc is over. Kyouka’s big plan to make peace between the animals and humans was to feed them melon bread and it took almost 15 minutes to get to that point. Literally nothing happened between the start of the episode and then. Teika gets shot, which isn’t a big deal because it literally takes 3 seconds for Gekka to appear in human form and heal him (good work, dramanauts!) thus making you wonder what the point even was, and that was all that was needed to make everybody live together happily ever after. Whoopie. Then, at the end, apparently Madara is in heat (and a female) and chases off Teika for being a coward and not just mounting her right then and there.

Madara was lame. Those scientists were lame. The super secret plot to defeat them was lame. Everything about this arc was pretty much lame. The sooner forgotten, the better. I want Raichou to actually do something already instead of just sitting on the sidelines and telling them how she’s not the one causing problems. Let’s have her actually live up to that terrorist moniker. Blow something up. I suggest Kumo, or maybe Shinigami’s father.

Preview:

Ouka gets sick, and this somehow means that the family must become pilot a giant robot or something.

  • DmonHiro says:

He does not hate it. He just hates the material from the extra novels. So do I. I LOVE the storyline to death…but these extra novel storys are killing me

  • Aroduc says:

Besides, things that you like can still have absolutely terrible episodes. I don’t believe in blindly apologizing and making excuses for things that are bad.

  • sage says:

Naked Shinigami? Human form Gekka? I need to watch this episode.

And the next episode as well.

  • Tess says:

Yeah… these episodes are actually very enjoyable for me, because I’m doing something else while watching them. That way I only have to catch the few things that interest me.
