Everyone just went home after that?

Impressions:

I think I'm likely done with this show. It's continuing on into the next season, but I have close to no hope of any improvement left. Hell, even this long 'arc' didn't actually do anything, and they just went home and on a restaurant/flashback tour at the end of it. The flashbacks were also to times when they sat at tables and ate. The worst part is that the flashbacks themselves were mostly recap or the painfully obvious. The orphan girl was orphaned and traumatized by the monster. His teacher was an eccentric dude with secrets. We already got that.

If you can't be well animated, at least be well written. And if you can't be well written, at least be eventful or ambitious in some way, whether that's emotionally manipulative, fanservicey, or what. We've been stuck investigating this dude's death for two months now with zero progress. I suspect this still might be the initial arc that will be dragging on through the entire rest of the show. This show wishes it could reach the low lows set by Assassin's Pride or Black Bullet.
