Slave of the Elite #20 — Multiplicity

February 26th, 2026

Casual clothes and date week, apparently.

Impressions:

Well, that was anticlimactic. On kind of every front. It seemed like this would be centered on the delinquent girl, but she just rolls with everything. It's not the worst, but why is she even around? Just to do the same reactions as everyone else and suck up a few minutes with dumb asides for the narrator to cut in and explain the second degree of someone else empowering her? The whole gap thing is already being done to death with literally every other character. It's the whole premise of the show.

And then there's finally thwarting the monsters. They roll up, rescue everybody, and kill the… I guess only two generics left to guard things. And then decide to sleep there instead of going back to their own hotel for some reason. Might make sense if you were in evil demon land. Not so much when you're down town. Regardless, some horny evil woman teleporting into his room is just something that happens every four episodes anyway, so despite its protestations that this is new and worthy of a cliffhanger, we're just replaying old tunes. Old tunes, which I'll remind you, is also literally how this season began, doing this exact thing. After 8 episodes and two trainining arcs, we've returned literally to where we started, just to do it again.
