Hero? No, Scum #05 — Improper Corpse Storage
February 7th, 2026
Why is your experimental panda monster being kept in a random locker?
Impressions:
Same issue as the last. The episodic format for each girl is fine, but there was no substance to it, or anything that would have been different had she been substituted for any of the others… or even not in the episode at all. Plus the relatively poor writing continues. They say there's nothing here and do a whole spiel about whether or not to keep searching, and then immediately find an entire room of rabid barking dogs and gigantic stinking animal corpses. That kind of seems like it would have been evidence to search, and evidence you would have been able to sense. If it was meant to be hidden, don't immediately cut to finding it, or have a whole scene pissing about whether to keep searching.
Plus, to continue harping on about the animation, that's still sucking too. Fighting a giant mutant zombie panda absolutely could've at least looked decent, but two slashes and it falls over while Handsy Man and Kid Bat wander off. What was even the point of that kid while we're at it? Some future nonsense, no doubt, but we're already lacking in the present, and I somehow doubt that whatever Handsy Man's backstory/relationship is with the kid is going to be compelling enough for this to have been strung out like it is.
