That chicken kind of had a lot of blood.

Impressions:

I had low hopes after it played the exact same minute and a half scene twice in a row in the first five minutes of the episode, like the audience completely forgot it while the OP played. The rest would be a pretty corny, though humorless, minor horror thing against a ridiculous wannabe serial killer who was accidentally torched by some kids, and now wants to murder all children. It seemed like they Bloody Mary'd him into hunting them, but no, he's literally just some ridiculous dude whose only power is pulling a scythe out of his ass and decided to go full Phantom of the Opera.

It's pretty incongruous with the tone of how the show has gone, though I guess it began with a skull-stealing furry, so is somewhat in line with that. Not so much the chicken stabbing and then covering Kyouko with blood. That definitely felt like an escalation, even if it evaporated 5 seconds later. He was still too clownish to be an antagonist and I feel like the reveal that he was just some dude needed more oomph since fighting random evil people, or mistaking monstrous people for monsters, isn't something they've done before, but that gets confused with it constantly waffling between is he a youkai or not right from the start. And again, he gets to just wander off, though to be fair this time, he was in a body bag, so we can pin that one on the paramedics.
