Mechanical Marie #01 — Taking Jobs From AI

An actual robot probably would've been funnier and less terrible.
Impressions:
Like Alma, its failure to truly commit to its bit does it no favors. Instead of any over the top spy action kind of things, there's a couple half-assed traps that are barely more than dangerous pranks, and a fire. Her being a robot is… that he invents convoluted excuses for why everything non-robotic she does doesn't count and can then announce them. That, and the silly faces she makes in the corner of the screen, are what it attempts to pass of as "the jokes." There could've been a whole action fight scene to smooth things over, or some actual slapstick. Instead… silly faces.
And it somehow gets worse than that, because that makes him her owner rather than employer, and so it's totally okay to treat her like a plaything and pet, because he cares. He's one of the good ones. His abuse towards everyone else is not just excusable, but laudatory since he's pedantically correct. All hail the rich nobility and how goofy they are in their… ownership of other people only when they fawn over them for being cute. Not that I think its admiration of human trafficking and sloppy blowjob of the rich is intentional. I just think those thoughts never once crossed its mind.
