How exactly would healy boy even compete in a fighting tournament?

Impressions:

I did not have high hopes for this arc or character given how annoying and offputting he's been everry other time he's shown up, and this episode did nothing to change those first impressions. The magical alien pet is the cherry on the sundae though. It's a super secret thing that the government conspiracies and assassins are out to get, yet also just cavorting around in public with all the neighborhood kids. And it's still just there to do silly schtick for comedy relief. It's just making me dread the upcoming noir dog arc even more.

It's not even an interesting episode as an origin story either. His dad was a hero, brought home a magic cat, his parents died, as all superhero parents do, and he decided to go all kaijuu on the nearest guy, except even most of that was in the last two minutes of the episode because they had to milk sick mom's death first before fifteen minutes of "ha ha, silly magic cat" shenanigans. Please let this arc be only two episodes long. I don't think I'll survive if we have to suffer through his entire teenage career.
