Have ya'll even been to an actual winery?
Lazarus apparently figured out that its weird streaming stuff was resulting in things getting spread well before the actual broadcasts and intended streaming so all the web streaming in all regions appears to have been pushed to Wednesdays, which makes the very late Saturday night Adult Swim broadcasts the first airing… I think? And a regular TV Tokyo broadcast about 8 hours after that. It wouldn't be a Watanabe show without complete chaos in the broadcast, I guess.
Impressions:
All right, anime comedy. Ya'll have had a rough run the last couple weeks. …Aaaand you're starting out the episode by yelling. At least it's about alcohol. But on the other hand, it's another episode that completely abandons the previous gadget-focused gimmicks to just spend the entire episode doing tourism crap. First wine touring, then food touring. I've lived near wine country for basically all of my adult life, and I can count the number of wineries that have an entire museum attached, along with decorative gargoyles, on one nothing. Nor do they just leave the wine out for people to randomly sample. You understand that wine tastings are weird? That there's always random animals roaming around? That the hosts are always overly gregarious dudes/ladies with bizarre colorful yarns to spin? No. We're just treating this like a strip mall food court crossed with a museum? Girls make faces? Okay, then. I guess off to the bath then.
From there, we move on to instagramming food. Something that you get in literally every anime since the cabbage incident. The main joke being that the quiet one eats a lot in competition with some other food-blogging couple and keeps ending up fat. And again, there are plenty of weird local foods, food trucks, crazy Guy Fieri stuff, etc. Hell, have them fight Guy Fieri. But all we get is that they eat food while making faces, and then make faces because they ate the food. The current state of anime comedy, ladies and gentlemen.
