Is it alcohol appreciation week in Japan?

…This stupid thing airing as late as it does on a weekday makes me keep forgetting it exists.

Impressions:

Though to be honest, if this was the fourth episode instead of the attempt at a horror parody, I probably would've given up on the show. This episode was bad. Or maybe worse, it was nothing. Some slimes check in, but… no jokes are really made about them. They don't do slime things. They don't really do anything with them, except remark that they're out of alcohol. So they spend the next third of the episode in flashbacks and rambling about how important it is to care about symbolic things. All of this is leading up to the 'joke' of Yachiyo 'growing up' when she takes a sip of faux whiskey.

…Which they then immediately abandon to go into a very, very, veeeeerrrrrrry long montage. You thought there would be shenanigans about brewing alcohol? Or anything here at all? No. It's a montage. Then they do that joke about her adult form again before it's… back into a second identical montage. And then the episode unceremoniously ends. The entire episode was built around that joke, with at most, a couple one-off quips about the kids being born of alcohol too. That's it. That's the whole episode. Why?
