Impressions:
Maybe I'll just accept that Fridays are high fantasy day with mediocre action shows; turn off my brain and bask in the torrent of vocabulary that I can barely understand and pretend like I'm taking biochemistry and happily nodding along as everything passes in one ear and out the other. Now we're fighting an invasion here for some reason, and 9S is in charge of a whole cadre of other #S units, all with their own #B girlfriends, but oops, the second pair of evil twins have compromised everything and now everybody is full of the Higurashi murder plague. To which 9S clutches his head and goes "Oh no, MY girlfriend!"
Yeah, I've definitely lost all track of whatever thread the narrative ever had here, even accounting for the multiple timelines and popping between them. I'm not even sure there's meant to be a thread or if they're just doing The Greatest Hits from the game with occasional guest stars from various stage plays and short stories, which is definitely not helping make sense of any of it from a non-superfan's perspective. Not like there's much else on Fridays though!

This is the start of playthrough C. A and B are the same story from 2B´s and 9S´s POV and the anime merged both so far but C is a sequel and is the final playthrough. All events in this ep happen chronologically over let´s say an hour. The game only shows the mission from 2B´s side, next week might do just that, but the anime show the chaos from 9S´s POV.
