Impressions:

It feels like it's been a pretty blissful year or two since we had one of these awful "My girlfriend… is a GAL!?" shows, though I'm probably forgetting 4-5. And this is… definitely another one of those, with a bit more of the morality police over the comedy angle. Those stupid sexy teenage girls, ruining their lives by having sex and dressing sexy. They're not upstanding kids like me, who just ogles them, obsesses over them for being shown the slightest bit of attention, and roots around in their underwear drawers. Maybe get off the high horse there, Happosai. You're just as much of a pathetic creep as any of these offscreen boyfriends. Probably moreso. And screw this holier than thou attitude over her. Five seconds ago, you were rooting around in her underwear for something to jerk off to.

I will continue to hold Yamada up as the gold standard if you want to make this kind of show, a neurotic lunatic both obsessed with and terrified of sex and relationships in general. The moralizing isn't even a thought there. Sex is weird and funny and fascinating, same with relationships. And yet, anime keeps coming back to the well of supposedly engaging with it, but actually moralizing against all those inappropriately sexy teenagers (which we're going to be sexualizing and objectifying the hell out of) and how their true happiness lies with a pathetic blob of nobody whose only personality trait is to whimper and tell them to stop being such sluts.
