I hate the title and will not be using it.

Impressions:

And we end a long, long Monday with this unfortunate mishmash of light novel harem cliches from the last decade. Reincarnated kid with cheat powers goes to magical school for magical fighting teenagers against the unbeatable monster apocalypse that are easily beatable. Beated. Whatever. Total mediocrity is the raison d'etre here, from the premise to the animation to the bad CGI monsters to the harem. It's not even selling itself on that front. Not that more fanservice would make it better, but at least you could then say that it's going for the softcore porn audience. A child being smothered in a teenager's chest and a little peek at a thigh is all the fanservice you're getting here, because the connoisseurs of modern fantasy want to hear internal narration explaining every little goddamned detail of what's going on for twenty straight minutes.

All this really accomplished was making me dread Dead Mount Death Play coming back even more, as it has literally the exact same premise, right down to reviving the main heroine as some flavor of undead. Except this goes to fantasy land instead of modern day (were fantasy people exist), and has maybe a third the budget. And its heroine isn't a deranged lunatic, which is absolutely a plus compared to a brainless imbecile who swallows "Oh, you weren't ACTUALLY sliced in half. You were faking it." Not to mention whips out a gun and starts shooting directly at a person encased in rock to try to free them. I cannot possibly see how it will be improved by reaching the school and getting stuck with the rest of the harem and even more exposition about how this flavor of magic and monster is slightly different from usual without actually being different in any meaningful way, and I'm well on my way to resenting these shows for making me miss the era of trash like Absolute Duo, Freezing, or… gods… Infinite Stratos.
