Backgrounds are pretty horny here.

I did glance through Ragna Crimson's 'second' episode, but he's still one-shotting everything with mediocre animation, and then picks up a maid, literally, as in keeps carrying her around, who's a secret ubermage dude, which is not a sentence I enjoy writing.

Impressions:

Only two types of punchlines exist in this show. Either the dude choking back laughter and internally narrating "This guy is an idiot!" or the dude choking back an erection and internally narrating "This guy is so cute!" It certainly ain't The Office, and a whole episode of just these two characters doing the same schtick over and over is a lot. The direction, especially the OP, is trying to sell some kind of BL romance angle very hard too. There's more blushing here than I think in any other show this season, including that awful "simp saves a non-virgin" one. All the random explosions of pastel backgrounds don't help matters either.

At least the over-reactions are fairly subdued, and the titular boss himself is definitely either on ritalin or just plain incapable of any emotion whatsoever. That was putting me to sleep though as there was no narrative connecting tissue between any of it. Just popped from wandering around outside looking at 'cats', to eyedrops, to motivational office confetti, but again, everything always quickly veers towards the same couple punchlines. It never builds up any momentum or has any actually unexpected gags, and predictability is anathema to comedy as far as I'm concerned. Oh, and the animation is quite horrible. I think they blew the entire budget on that one moment of the world spinning around the dude at the start, which wasn't much to start with.
