Impressions:

It feels weird to watch this without Chinese hardsubs. Anyway, the show ends as it went. The opening continued to be the transient highlight each week, both in animation and general mood. Even this final episode is just a complete mishmash of random scenes. There's almost enough focused on food/cooking to make you think that it could be a theme, but the start with the random other cat and the whole boardgame montage in the middle don't fit at all, nor is there anything at the end of it either except for splatting the show's title up. Fitting, really.

And since this is the last episode, we needed to work in the title by having Yukichi yell it a few times. But since we're still not putting much effort into the storyboarding, rather than going out on that, it happens 15 minutes into the episode during yet another one of the flashbacks that are half spent declaring Saku a useless horrible person. And then again at 19 minutes before instead ending on a three minute housework montage fetishizing rice balls. I know I've said it before, but cooking ain't that hard, and I've never understood anime's obsession with making it out to be some insurmountable ordeal.
