Ikea eat your heart out.

This show is off next week, and Zom 100, hot on taking a week off, is off again this week.

Impressions:

The first half was again an illustration of how sticking to the short form of the source is doing it no favors whatsoever. Both for imagining Yukichi running off with someone else, and for the not-horror story. These are things that cats are known for; wandering around the neighborhood and associating with other random people, and doing weird crap at night. But none of those jokes are really made. It just tosses out "Wouldn't it be funny if" as kind of a brainstorm and then leaves it at that. You could've developed that and actually done a story around her finding out him sneaking out for cat stuff or to harass the local pigeons at least, but… no. Too much scriptwriting effort, I guess.

The second half subdivides itself even further, including one segment that's very nearly just a montage of building a shelf. I'm not even sure what the jokes were meant to be there. A lot felt like stuff left on the cutting floor from previous episodes, like a very brief bit about instagramming a cat obstacle course. It just continues to be brainless mind fluff at best. The high point is the peppy OP with all the energetic movement and life while the actual episode… exists.
