At least it took an actual beer, and not just a whiff of a bonbon with alcohol in it.

Impressions:

I wasn't really planning on continuing with this given how obnoxious the first episode was, and still might not, but the second episode was a massive improvement over the first. Significantly less yelly, better animated, more developed and empathic characters, the works. Even the two halves each had their little ten minute enclosed stories with nice little feelgood wrapups to tie a ribbon on top of them of the hero being quietly heroic instead of a lazy dirtbag, even if it doesn't make any sense for him to be world famous, completely unknown, reviled by all, idolized by children, all at the same time. Him then checking in to a porn shop to jerk off probably not the best note to go out on, but still much better overall than last week. Even the bad T&A was mostly more incidental and for humor, shower scene notwithstanding.

Not sure if I'll go any further than this though, as the main issues are still there. Too much of the humor is yelling overreactions, and this subgenre of the housewife/husband monster pet is very played out, and this hasn't brought anything that I haven't seen a hundred times before. This episode would've been a significantly better first impression than the actual first episode though, and Malev Spirits isn't making much of a case for itself on Mondays either. Maybe this can continue improving, but I'm not holding my breath.
