Aahh, fanservice magical sword schools.

Impressions:

I honestly can't tell if this is largely okay, if a bit mediocre, or if all these cheat power things have just broken my expectations entirely. It's certainly a throwback to the fanservice fighting school things of yore. Your Regioses, Prism Arks, Duel Saviors, etc, of which I have certainly spent a disproprotionate amount of time for any person to be immersed in. Right down to the protagonist being an overpowered country bumpkin, though having the energy of an excited puppy is a bit unusual. The constant shots of girls' butts with form fitting cloth giving them permanent wedgies, or just going completely naked at the end? Not so unusual. 

I'm not sure if that's better or worse than the usual Kirito knockoff, but just foregoing ten thousand status screens and thirty thousand explanations of how he's overpowered makes the bitter pill go down a bit easier. He also jumps straight to addressing and resolving the obligatory tsundere's issue in about a four minute span, which makes the pacing of the episode pretty bizarre. I certainly prefer too fast to too slow, but it definitely lurches from the latter to the former on a dime, even yada yada-ing over invading some random super tech lab somewhere because apparently there are also super computers in this fantasy world. Not getting a sense that the setting is going to have much actual thought or cohesion here, which is probably a good thing considering the alternative.
