Drink every time they say "shoujo manga" and prepare for alcohol poisoning.

Impressions:

You look just like a character in a shoujo manga! This is just like in my shoujo mangas! This is a shoujo manga concept cafe. Act like you're in a shoujo manga. Take a look at my shoujo manga so you can act more like a shoujo manga for our shoujo manga cafe. Announcing the cliche does not give it strength and/or transform it from cliche into joke. And then they spend a major chunk of the second half explaining the cliches further with the only 'joke' being one internally saying "this is stupid." That's the level of humor in this show.

If those cliches entertain you, probably great. But there's precious little here if they don't. Certainly not any other jokes that don't rely on announcing shoujo manga cliches with the occasional silly overreaction face. Weirdly, now that I think back, not all that many sparkly pastel backgrounds. Maybe they've ceded that territory to slice of life shows. Nothing special on the production or presentation front either. Not poor, not great or unique. Definitely nothing in the way of character or story either. She 'pretends' to be cute, which is completely indistinguishable from her real self, and is physically coerced into this stupid job, and then keeps going back because the script says so and no other reason. It is the thinnest excuse because more time needs to be made to explain the cliches.
