I didn't miss this trope, to be honest.

Impressions:

It feels pretty weird to see a show lean in so heavily to the nosebleed fountain joke here in the year of 2023. The montage when they brought in the others for over the top training was close to the height of the episode, but the only part that made me chuckle even the slightest was the ending, where they're being shut down and kicked out for rank incompetence. Presented as a shocking development, but… uh… that makes total sense given that they dropped everything that they were doing, playing video games, to apparently spend a few weeks obsessing over this random idiot off the street.

It does have some understanding of humor, but is still leaning overly much into shouting, overreactions, and girls making stupid faces. Which is some variety of punchline, but they're not trying very hard in coming up with actual jokes, and there's nothing else to the characters or story that would give it a little more meat. They're all just gags. It's not as maniacally insane as something like Milky Holmes, nor is the presentation good enough to carry the visual gags like Bocchi, though it is trying to lean into a lot of the same cringey/awkwardness. And definitely doesn't have even the thin veneer of a story or character development of Bocchi either for that matter since it's very much going for the whole cast being various flavors of hyperactive idiots.
