Impressions:

The script definitely went off the rails a bit late in the episode, though it wasn't all that interesting an episode until that point either. It was the obligatory flashback to Jiro's first maiden/girlfriend who was just the standard picture of perfection in all ways. Then they ran into some cyber-golems, so she unlocked her maiden powers and self-destructed… except not, because they just lasered her down after she bought everybody approximately three extra seconds. As far as big ol' noble sacrifices go, this wasn't much of one. And then they whited out and I guess the cyber golems wandered off, never to be seen again.

The antagonist side wasn't much better. That one lady that keeps grumbling in the background went to grumble at the Emperor, only to learn that yes, they are indeed super duper evil and not just the underlings. As it goes with all JRPG empires. And… that's also kind of it for that whole side of the episode before ending by reiterating that the one dude is brainwashed and there are a bunch of clones running around, in case you forgot that despite starting the episode by recapping it. Breakneck pacing here.
