Lycoris Recoil #09 — The Sad Piano Weeps

For twenty damn straight minutes.
Impressions:
I'm sorry, did Chisato open fire on a crowded highway on some dudes for catcalling? It's things like that (and all the other godawful writing) that make the whole episode's attempt at nonstop weepy melodrama with incessant sad piano so eyerolling. The gizmo in her heart is gizmo'd, so now she's doomed from her latent Sad Anime Girl Syndrome. Here's a flashback showing just how sad and syndromey she was.
That's the whole episode too. Her heart's been hacked, so now here's twenty straight minutes of trying to tearjerk. As subtle as a brick to the face. Maybe it will have the balls to kill her in the end, but I wouldn't put money on it, and I don't feel much sympathy for her anyway. She's not really a character so much as a cliche; totally invulnerable until the writers declare that she's spontaneously dying of *waves hands* something, unless *waves hands again* she somehow doesn't.

I’m not going to lie, Takina attempting to schedule snowfall is the most hilariously dumbest things she’s done this series.
Anyway, for a change of pace I’m also hoping they actually kill her off, because the last minute bullshit save is just too obvious. Or, since she looks like Siesta and/or Destiny, maybe they find some way to shove her subconsciousness into Takina somehow.
