There's not going to be any kind of ending, is there?

Oops. I haven't internalized that this is apparently a Tuesday show now.

Impressions:

This is kind of what I worried about last week. There's only two episodes left, and we are not gearing up for any kind of finale whatsoever. The story instead felt like it was flailing quite a bit when there were a number of threads it could have easily grabbed onto and followed. The chase of one of the royal brats, utilitarianism crapping on the nun for religious people being useless, Rin's depression vs Nun 2.0's ambition, or demon teenagers having unprotected sex and spawning monsters that immediately swarm the local ecosystem with matricidal whale-eating blobs. That's a lot of random stuff to be introducing two episodes from the end, and none of it is a direct path to any kind of conclusion. And it appears that we're in for a time skip past all of this anyway.

I think the thing that annoyed me the most about the episode though was Miku's segment. I kind of like her character as an intelligent schemer, but her plan doesn't make a lot of sense. She betrays the demon lord to save her own skin, so that she can hide until she can rejoin the demon lord? What exactly is going to change that puts them at an advantage in the future now that they've lost everything? Do they have a second global empire they've just been hiding or will overthrow without anybody noticing? Heck, wouldn't it make a lot more sense to throw in your lot with the good guys since you know they're fine with working alongside other reformed demons too? Handwave that the hyperintelligence let her protect herself from the brainwashing if you absolutely must.
